Friday Fun: Vampire Physics

Some physics-based gameplay for you today… with a horror twist :) The idea is to get your vampire to the “ordinary” people and turn them into vampires too. The twist is that you need to avoid garlic and priests, while also preventing rival vampires from biting your prey.

You’ll need Flash to play Vampire Physics, and there is sound but you can turn it off without losing much in the way of gameplay.

Being Human season 2, ep 3 preview

Another weekend post? This’ll get to be a habit before long! I wrote in December about free tickets for a special screening of BBC3′s Being Human and, if you’ve been keeping an eye on your television schedule you’ll know the series is underway on the telly too.

There are a couple of previews on the Net to give you an idea what’s happening… I think the contrast between the two clips provided is brilliant and shows the BBC’s efforts at keeping both the comedy and drama going. They’re below… enjoy.

Ticket Giveaway for special screening of Being Human

The BBC are gearing up for the screening of series 2 of Being Human, a dramedy about a vampire, werewolf, and ghost living in Bristol. Series 1 was incredibly popular, and the new series is due to screen in January 2010.

If you can’t quite wait for it to arrive on the telly, there’s a special screening of the first episode of series 2, and you could get free tickets!

Aidan Turner who plays Mitchell (the vampire) has recorded a special video message about it for the Being Human blog (http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/beinghuman) which you can check out below.

The screening will take place at a London cinema (exact venue to be confirmed) on the evening of January 7th, 2010 and BBC Three are giving away free pairs of tickets to fans on a first-come-first-served basis.

The tickets will be available from 10am on Thursday 10th December – just head to www.bbc.co.uk/tickets.

These kind of special events are great, and I only wish I lived closer to London to be able to attend more of them – but if you’re a Being Human fan, and if you’re able to be in London on the evening of January 7th, check it out and try your luck at getting some freebie tickets.
