Wake up the box [Friday Fun]

Apparently Mr Box sleeps too much… so wake him up by hitting him, tipping him off his perch, or shaking him in this physics-based game.

Just take the building blocks you’re given and find a way to wake the box up. As with the best flash games, it starts off easy and gets hard very quickly! Have fun!

Uses flash and has sound. The sound can be put off and the game will still remain playable.

Stack the sack [Friday Fun]

OK, I know this is a marketing ploy… you play the game, you win a prize, and you think of Dominos next time you want a Pizza. But the game’s free to play, so if you end up buying a pizza that’s your own fault :)

Stack the Sack is just like many other tower-building games out there but you’re building a tower  of pizza boxes in Santa’s sack. See how far you can get!

Chris Moyles Parody Island Game [Friday Fun]

Thanks to Dan for sending this one in!

The Chris Moyles game is a classic platform game… collect notes, jump on the heads of your enemies, you’ll soon get the hang of it. Keep the volume up to enjoy the music too, if you’re able :)

ClickPlay 2 [Friday Fun]

ClickPlay 2 is a series of mouse-based puzzles where you have to figure out what elements of the screen you can interact with, and then what you’ve got to do with them! Some levels are obvious, some a bit more tricky, and some downright infuriating! I, for instance, can’t figure out what the heck you’re supposed to do with that duck on level 15!

Ahem, but enough of my limited logic skills… the game’s actually great fun and the music’s quite catchy too. So, yes, there is sound, but I kept it on ‘cos I liked it :)

Let us know in the comments how you get on, and if you get past lvl 15 tell me how!

Bloat [Friday Fun]

No, it’s not some terrible disease… it’s a flash game.

In bloat, small animals called bimples wander around the screen. You can inflate or deflate blimples to make them larger or smaller than others… and large blimples eat small ones. When blimples of a certain colour eat blimples of another specific colour they poop money, which is what you’re after.

It all starts out nice and simple, until you end up with blimples of three colours all trying to eat each other. Bloat is a nice mix of puzzle and fast reaction game. It has sound, but you can put that off if you want a stealthy game.

Colour My World [Friday Fun]

This week’s Friday fun is a much more chilled-out affair than the games I’m normally attracted to, but I really liked it.

Colour My World starts with you realising you’re late for a coffee date, and you then have to make your way through platforms and obstacles to get to the cafe. The style is really unusual – it’s all in black and white, except that there are little ways you can interact to bring some colour to the world. The music is also really nice, and it’s well worth keeping the sound on for this one.

Anyway, have fun with it. It’s a short game, but… well… nice.

Grid-16 [Friday Fun]

Here’s another post that I found while looking through the archives… that turned out to be just as addictive now as before.

Grid-16 is a collection of 16 mini-games, from avoiding objects, to hitting them, and other amusing and frustrating things to keep you going. You only get a few seconds on each mini-game, before it pauses and you are taken to a randomly different game instead. Later on, you come back to a game you’ve been playing and pick it up where you left off.

Here’s the killer, though… the games get quicker the longer you play. So the idea is, how long can you keep going with the game getting faster and faster?

I’ve survived up to 4.0… think you can do better? Tell us in the comments!

Friday Fun – Halo – Flash Version

I’ve been playing Halo 3: ODST a lot this week, so I thought we’d go for a Halo theme for Friday Fun.

This is a simple point-n-click shooter. You can move left and right a little… just shoot everything that looks like it’s shooting back at you.

This game uses flash and has sound and, unusually enough, you’ll want to keep the sound on so that you can hear when you’re being shot at!

Have fun :)

Friday Fun: Pyramid Solitaire

Help the ancient egyptians build the pyramids in this week’s Friday Fun: Pyramid Solitaire. I’m not quite sure how clearing a pile of cards will help build the pyramids… perhaps a slave dropped them and work can’t continue until they’re cleared up… but that’s not for me to worry about :)

Just match cards up in pairs that add up to 13 and clear the pile to progress to the next level. I have to admit to being terrible at this, and only reached level 2!

This game uses flash and has sound but, as seems to be the case a lot of the time, you can put the sound off without losing too much of the game experience.

Enjoy!

Friday Fun: 21 Balloons

Cute overload! This week’s Friday Fun has little teddy bears asking you to grab balloons for them using a mechanical claw. It really is very cutesy, but actually a good game :)

Wait until the claw is aimed where you want it to go (it scans back and forth) and then click to fire it. Make sure you grab balloons by the string and don’t pop them.

Uses flash and has sound, but you can put the sound off without losing any game experience.
