After last week’s rendition of Still Alive, the end-game credits from Portal, I thought it was high time to revisit the flash version of the game. This isn’t produced by Valve, but it is excellent… and if you don’t have anything that will run a game with spectacular 3D graphics, it’s a good way to get into what Portal is all about.
The basic idea is that you can shoot “portals”. The portals are connected, so if you were to fire an entrance at your feet and another at the ceiling you’d end up falling through it and dropping down from the roof. That’s not entirely practical, but you’ll start to see how to use the effect to solve the puzzles you’re presented with.
You’ll need flash to play, which now that I think of it would be why it’s called “flash version” :)

There goes my weekend!
Someone's obviously spent a lot of time developing this. I got through a few levels and then got stuck. Something to come back to when I've got more time!
I hope you didn't lose the entire weekend to it!
I'm with you there, Paul – it's one for spending a bit of time and concentration on.
