I really hadn’t intended to post another trailer today, but I happened across this and thought it was too good to miss. On Friday I told you about an innovative game that made use of passages from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and today I want to show you the trailer for Tim Burton’s film Alice in Wonderland.
I’m a fan of Tim Burton’s style – especially his ability to take a well known story or situation and put a dark spin on it. I also liked American McGee’s Alice game, which really emphasised the darkness in the original books. It seems to be the done thing to explore that element of the original stories and it’s giving us a load of interesting material in the process.
Anyway, here’s the trailer:
It seems like a completely insane ride, doesn’t it? I think it looks like one of those films you come out of and say, “I can’t decide whether I enjoyed that or not” but somehow you know you’re going to get it on DVD when it comes out. It’s definitely out in the US on the 5th of March, and a few sites are suggesting it’ll be out in the UK then too.
So what do you think? Are you going to see it? I know I am!

Words cannot express how much I am looking forward to this film! I'm not going to lie, I'm concerned about writing a sequel, however I am going in with high expectations!
Me too – I'm expecting it to be great.
Interesting to see that Odeon aren't going to be showing this. Fortunately we have an independent cinema not too far from us so I'll just be going there instead. I still get to see it and be smug about supporting local business at the same time ;)
