Hi Rose. Quite right, criticism is part of life! In fact, I'd say constructive criticism is extremely useful in helping you to learn and improve. I didn't cover that in the post, but probably should have. Either that or I'll file it away and let it germinate into a future post idea :)

I've grown accustom to criticism. I'm a writer. I must say though I was shocked when I found myself banned from a blog for sharing my experience with something. I wasn't rude, but the blogger was not open to criticism. I think it's important to look at the way you respond to criticism, because after all criticism is part of life.

I like this idea too. Swearing doesn't really bother me, but I've always been afraid someone's comments might offend a visitor, so I've desperately hoped no-one would swear in the comments. If I had a policy I could edit the comments without feeling bad about it.

The Comment Policy was adapted from one posted on the Problogger.community, but if you're not a member of that feel free to adapt mine or you should be able to find a good one via Google.

Phew, that's good to know! I'd prefer that things just be self-regulating, but sadly it doesn't always work like that.

I really like this two part blog post idea. I will have to give it a try some time.
And I really like your Comment Policy. I may have to add something like this to my blogs “Disclosure” page.
