Paintball Panzer

Bring shock and awe tactics to the paintball
arena with the Paintball Panzer

This post first appeared on Geek-Speak in March 2008. I thought it was just too cool to let it wallow in the archives :)

I have to admit to being a bit of a paintball freak. I love playing the game, and the Paintball Panzer makes my mind light up with possibilities for new scenarios!

Apparently this idea started off as a personal hobby, but when the creator saw how much interest there was in it he decided to go into business making paintball tanks. This 9,000lb 7ft long vehicle is capable of firing 15 pellets per second from its front-mounted cannon, or can be switched to scattergun mode to take out several people in one go. It even has a remote cutoff, where a marshall can decide to disable the tank via remote control if he decides it has taken enough hits to "destroy" it.

So, any paintall players out there, would you like your local site to have these? Paintball sites are being encouraged to buy them in pairs to keep the game fair, but I guess the best way to get a shot is to pester the life out of your local paintball arena until they buy some :)

Anyone near Edinburgh – get on to Bedlam and Go Ballistic – make them buy some today!

I can’t find where the weight was listed, but you’re right – 900lb seems much more reasonable!
