Friday Fun: Toon Crisis 2

by Chris on September 5, 2008

Hands up if you remember FMV video games! Anyone? Remember, those ones that were billed as “interactive movies” but really just involved some grainy live footage and terrible acting while you were were railroaded through the story whether you liked it or not? No? Well, trust me, if you’d played any you would realise that they got live footage in games a bad name.

Toon Crisis 2, however, does rather well… mixing live footage with animation to have you battling monsters while out on a run. Try it out!

Needs flash, and has sound. You don’t need the sound, but there’s some great music you’ll miss if you turn it off :)

While you’re at it, try the original too – this one’s set in and around Soho Square in London.

It seems some people might be having trouble with the game freezing? Can you let me know if that’s affecting you?

Edit: I’m told by some of the people having difficulties that the original game works better – so if you’re stuck, give that a go instead.
