The 3G iPhone
Free on the higher-end O2 tariffs

O2 have released their prices for buying the 3G iPhone in the UK – with the rather nice news that it will be free on certain tariffs!

Those who want to go with the £30 and £35 tariffs will have to pay £99 for the 8Gb iPhone, or £159 for the 16Gb. The 8Gb iPhone will be free on all tariffs above £35, while the 16Gb costs £59 on the £45 tariff but is free on the £75 one.

The drop in price is incredible – and most welcome. The iPhone actually looks within my reach now :) It all seems a bit “too good to be true” that consumers will be able to get a more advanced phone for less than the original, but I guess that’s just the way business goes sometimes.

The iPhone will also be available on O2 Pay As You Go, Business, and Corporate tariffs. Find out more about the iPhone on O2 here.
